Every transaction is categorized into the proper category to ensure optimal tax deductibility long before tax season allowing for more intention to be placed on tax planning.

  • Professional service based businesses experience unique financial challenges of budget and cash flow management. As a service based business you may be unsure of your pricing strategy to create a sustainable profit margin. Being involved in the daily tasks of helping other business owners leaves you with little time to dedicate 2-4 hours per week to organizing your transactions leading to un managed books and potentially lost deductions.

    Having worked with retail businesses ranging from consignment shops to book publishers I understand the unique perspective retail owners face having to manage inventory, software, and sales tax simultaneously all while serving their own customers.   • As a boutique firm we offer a bundled approach to services so that customers are able to focus on their business instead of coordinating services between multiple accounting and tax professionals while ensuring that clients are receiving the best customer service.

    As part of the bundle each client receives: tax planning to start the year with a plan for success, advisory meetings, bookkeeping, accounting, tax preparation, and payroll services when needed.

    We also provide tax resolution services to help defend against IRS and state taxing authorities notices and audits.

    This is a flat fee that includes all of your bundled services.

  • I enjoy being in contact with clients once per month. At minimum once quarterly to review financial health of the business, how revenue and expenses have changed as well as discussing profitability, tax planning implementation, and general check in to see how you and the business are doing.

    Using the calendar link within your client portal book your financial review on my calendar for a time that works best for you.

    Our business hours are 9a-5pm M-Th excluding holidays.

    I am also available by email for routine questions, please expect a response within 48 business hours.

    During tax season when I am actively working on your return I am available by phone or text.

  • As with any relationship I do have expectations of clients as well.

    I expect that clients will behave in a respectful and ethical manner and never engage in fraud or deceptive practices.

    I expect that clients will maintain open communication and respond within 72 hours outside of tax season. During tax season communication is expected within 24 hours to maintain deadlines.

    Provide documentation in a timely manner so not to cause delay in services.

    Pay invoices in full by due date or make arrangements.

    Failure to meet expectations may result in disengagement and forfeiture of any service fees.

    2. Accept proposal and sign engagement letter in HVBT client portal which outlines scope of services and expectations for HVBT and you.

    3. Make first monthly investment.

    4. Send Accountant invite to QBO/Xero/Gusto.

    5. Upload receipts, bank statements, business documents to your client portal.

    6. Provide view only access to financial and payment processing accounts so you don’t have to constantly upload statements & reports.

    7. Complete onboarding meeting to discuss business

    8. Enjoy done for your bookkeeping!
